How to Frost a Perfect Cupcake

Is everyone ready for the secret to icing the perfect cupcake? Well here you go... It's all in the tip! All you need is the right icing tip and you can create beautiful, perfect, professional looking cupcakes all the day long! Here are the most common tips in cupcake decorating.

 Here is Tip 2D. LOVE this one, when I really want my cupcakes to be extra fun, cute and frilly. The harder and faster you go the more ripply it will look.

This is Tip 2A. The one that looks like the top of an ice-cream cone. This one is fun and smooth. The only trick to this one, is to make sure that you first put a dolop of icing that goes up about an inch in the middle and then begin icing around it. That way you'll really get that cute layered affect.

This is Tip 1M and is my favorite. It just looks so dang cute. More crisp lines, but still very curvy and cute.

Here is Tip 4B. This tip has many short spikes coming off the end to give the icing a lot of cute little ridges.

And here is Tip 8. This is the one that is mostly used in bakeries. The icing tip is massive and it comes out fast, easy and perfect every time. I bend the spines in just a little bit to make the ripples just a bit more dramatic. This is an awesome tip and the easiest.
